Paul
Gallo grew up in Philipsburg, Pennsylvania, a small coal-mining town near
State College, Pennsylvania. Paul’s education is varied and includes
studying at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, an AA from Harrisburg Area
Community College and MFA from Syracuse University.
Working as an art director and creative director for several advertising
agencies, Paul has won numerous awards for his illustration and graphic
design. He now owns his own freelance illustration and graphic design
business.
Plein air oil painting is his primary area of interest. Painting in a
representational manner he enjoys utilizing the tactical quality of oil
paints. He also teaches illustration and design at the college level and
currently teaches at Art Institute of York, HACC and Penn State York.
